The Island is located between the borders of USA and Canada and it is worth a day / a weekend trip. I suggest you take your car as transportation is limited on the island.

The southern most tip of Canada also known as Point peele is a Provincial park located in Ontario. The place has a wide range of flora and fauna and is great for cycling and trailing. Located 50 minutes away from Windsor, it serves great beauty and great location for fall photography.

If you are someone who is looking for a 4-5 hour getaway around Windsor, Ojibway is just around the corner in Essex county.
